MANDATE
The mandate as defined by AFB Waterkloof, includes the airports
at Waterkloof and Swartkop.
COMMAND
Single Point responsibility for the execution of command in the
spirit of the SAAF Vision, Mission and Values. To empower personnel to perform to the best
of their capabilities and potential:
Issue command directives to OC’s under
operational/administrative command.
Issue all Base Executive Council members with directives for
command, management, duty and service agreements.
Ensure adherence to all relevant instructions.
Issue Standing Instructions to units/personnel under admin
command .
The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) of all personnel on the
base including aviation safety of the airports and all stakeholders operating on/from the
base.
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
The sustained support of combat readiness levels in accordance
with the user system plan.
The implementation of the user system plan for AFB Waterkloof as
provided by Level 3.
Preparation of the base as combat ready airports.
The operation of the airports on a daily basis for force
preparation and force employment.
The sustained support and employment of the Protection Wing for
the protection of the SAAF FSE’s in the Pretoria area.
GENERAL SUPPORT
The employment of SAAF Force Structure Elements (FSE’s) for
emergency situations as defined in Log 17, Pam 10, Pt 5.
The supply of General Support Base (GSB) services to allocated
clients as defined by the DIMS/GSB guidelines ).
To sustain deployed operational FSE’s, Service Providers and
facilities as required.
