Executive Safety Seminar - 2005

The Directorate Aviation Safety hosted an Executive Safety Management Seminar at Swartkop over the period 21 – 23 September. The theme for the seminar was Aviation Safety in the SA Air Force, the South African Aviation Industry and on the African continent, with emphasis on the involvement of top leadership in safety. CAF opened the seminar and attended all three days. Other delegates included the GOC Air Command, Chief Directors, Directors and staff officers from the Air Force Office and the Air Command, officers from Botswana and Angola and members of the South African aviation industry. Presenters from the SA Air Force and the Aviation Industry covered safety topics in the areas of human factors, technology, aviation medicine and operations. Safety risks and issues were highlighted and suggested solutions were presented.
