505 Squadron brings joy of Christmas

505 Squadron, stationed at AFB Ysterplaat donated food and clothes to a home for Abused Women and Children in Atlantis, Western Cape on 21 December 2006.

The home is being run with no government funding and is solely dependant on sponsorships and donations. It is for this reason that 505 squadron decided to assist the home with donations of food and clothes.

Miss Barbara Rush the caretaker of the home was ecstatic with the donations and rewarded the 505 Squadron team with an informative tour of the premises.

“This is an experience that we will never forget. It is a real pleasure for us to make a difference in these people’s lives, especially over this festive period. Just to see the delight on the faces of the women and children is worth the effort, said the 505 squadron operations officer Capt R.C Du Plessis
